When I think about my car rental in Fort Myers in the US, the thing I remember the most is not the car itself. It is the moment I booked it with only 1 dollar. I am still a student and I do not have a lot of budget, so at first I was worried about my credit card, especially for a longer rental that would go until around noon on May 31. I knew the total price would not be small. Then I saw the One-Dollar Freeze option on QEEQ and I saw that I only needed to pay 1 dollar first to lock the Ford Explorer and the extra items I wanted in Fort Myers. The rest of the money would be taken automatically before the trip started. My heart felt much lighter at that moment and I felt I did not need to pay a big amount at once and did not need to move a lot of money into my card early. Around May 16 or 17 I noticed the remaining payment was taken. Everything was normal and there were no strange or extra charges. When I arrived in Fort Myers airport on May 18 in the evening around seven and went to the Budget counter to pick up the car, I felt very relaxed because the money part was under control. The staff at the counter checked my booking and I just showed my documents and got the Ford Explorer. The car was big and it was comfortable for six people. During the trip I kept thinking that it was great that I only paid 1 dollar at the start. I could use my money on other things in the weeks before and I did not feel nervous at all. For me this kind of payment that does not hit my credit card so hard at once is really good for a young person like me.
