“Do you check car prices every day after you book?” I asked my friend on video call a few days ago. I was at home, summer air outside my window felt a bit heavy, and I was getting ready to rent a car from Newark on my laptop. I am kind of lazy and I do not want to watch prices every day, so this time I made my booking on QEEQ and saw a service called Price Drop Protector. It said if the price goes down they will auto rebook and pay me back the difference. In my head I thought it sounds like free extra money so I just added it. Then I did nothing. I planned to fly to Newark around July twenty sixth in the morning and return the car around July third in the evening, about one week with an Avis Toyota Corolla. One day I was checking my phone and looking at my order, and I saw a new email about my booking price. I was confused and thought maybe there was some problem. When I opened it I saw they found a cheaper price and already moved me to a new booking. They gave me back around ten plus RMB as the price difference. I did not click anything and I did not pay again. My order was still confirmed. I sat on my couch and felt a little surprised and told my friend I kind of earned money for nothing. The amount was not huge but it felt like someone was watching the price for me. At that moment I felt this Price Drop Protector is really good for young people like me who do not like to count every cent and also do not have time to compare prices every day. I think I will book like this again because they watch the price and when it drops I just save a bit of travel money.
